You will design and build core features and services across Xoopit's entire product line. You will roam across the entire technology stack and run with features from conception to deployment and operation. Your code will be elegant and scalable. You'll work with the rest of the team in a super charged and highly fun environment.Requirements
- Most importantly, you are an amazing programmer. This is way more important than how many years of experience you have. If you are the coding envy of your peers, we want to talk to you.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Extensive server-side coding experience (Python, Java, C++, or C). We use Java.
- Performance, Scalability, and Security are at the front of your mind. Always. For that matter you know how to build distributed systems as well.
- Pluses: SQL, Lucene, web crawling, RSS.
- You like working with others, and others like working with you.
Web / AJAX Engineer
Your role is to be an AJAX and all around javascript monster. You love going from mockup to implemented features in record time. You make sure things look good. You make things go fast. On top of that, your code is elegant and the envy of all your server side peers. On the design side, you are expected to work closely with a great UI designer to ensure the best possible user experience. Lastly, you will get to work with an inspiring team and have a lot of fun!Requirements

Summer Development Intern!
If you want to write real code for software that matters to people every day, we may have a summer gig for you. You're currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably working toward a degree in Computer Science or something similar. You're already versed in web development from classes, side projects or other internships. You're excited about spending 10-12 weeks (start time negotiable) with a small, tight team this summer to contribute ideas and code to our internet-scale service development and world-class online user experiences. Most importantly, you are super smart and a great engineer. We write serious Java, and have a web front end that is moving toward a lot of sophisticated JavaScript.Benefits
